Textured Coat with Buckled Booties!

January 31, 2017 by Michelle Hartenstein Leave a Comment

After having so much snow and ice it was such a beautiful welcome to see the sun again. This Topshop coat is the perfect weight jacket to take me through the rest of winter and into those early spring days where the sun is starting to shine, but the air outside is still cool and crisp. I paired it in this post with a light weight thermal and chunky scarf which was the perfect combination for this sunny winter day. Like most of my other winter coats this one isn’t super heavy, which is important to me when buying a coat toward the end of winter.

I love the combination of textures on this coat. The shearling collar is very comfortable around the neck, the quilting is such a fun detail and I absolutely love the gold lining that plays peak-a-boo every time you walk. It’s the small details that bring this neutral navy blue jacket to life! The length of this longer silhouette fits me perfectly however, this type of silhouette is perfect for taking up or letting out at the hemline. It would be such an easy alteration to have done at your local seamstress or dry-cleaner. That is always a positive in my book!

One piece I must tell you about are these Anine Bing booties! They are well crafted and the detailing in the design as you can see in the picture, is beautiful. Not only are they gorgeous, but they are very comfortable. I have a couple pairs of Anine Bing boots and I would highly recommend the investment. I have linked to a seriously cute pair of grey Low Charlie Boots below that have similar detailing as the ones I have pictured, but without the buckle detailing.

Happy Monday and last couple of days of January!

Outfit Details:
Top: Treasure&Bond – this top is so soft and comfortable I ended up buying it in all 3 colors! (I also like this one as well.)
Jeans: FRAME denim c/o – This is the similar pair. I love FRAME denim; they wear, wash and fit so well!
Scarf: Hinge Chunky Marled Scarf (I also really like this no-fringe scarf here in 10 colors and this one has 5 colors to chose from!)
Coat: Topshop Faux Shearling Collar Coat – on sale!
Boot: Sold out. (similar styles – Low Charlie Boot is very similar and comes in an gorgeous grey color that would be great for the transition into spring! And this Jeffrey Campbell ‘Taggart’ Cutout Bootie has such great detail and also would be a great transition bootie for Spring! The blush velvet color that I have linked to would be a great way to keep a little velvet in your wardrobe for Spring:)
Purse: Sold out in this color, similar Rebecca Minkoff here. (I also like the size and color selection of this Rebecca Minkoff Small Love Leather Crossbody bag and this Phone Love Crossbody bag with Embellished Guitar strap, such a cool bag.)
Sunglasses: Prada Sunglasses c/o color – updated color here.
Watch: c/o – similar version Marc Jacobs watch here.
